Hi everyone,
excuse my probably dumb question, but I’m fairly new to typewriters... Hoping to learn
So, I own a fairly well preserved Continental 100 typewriter and I wanted to find out when it was manufactured. I already learned that this is usually done by finding the serial number and then looking over the typewriter database. However, I am unable to find the serial number on the first glance and was a little scared of randomly removing items while looking for it. Do you have a tip where I should look? So far, I didn’t find one engraved in the frame nor on the carriage.
I’m sure this is easy to answer, but please bear with a typewriter newbie...
Greetings

Hello
Serial number is on the bottom of the machine. 100 is separable from its pad, so do it and you will find it!
