Update on the $18 Densmore.
Its mine. I made a deal with the person who bought it to get it.

I have had my eye on this Remington Rand Streamliner for about a year. We saw it in an antiques store in Milwaukee ages ago, but it was out of budget. Every time we went back, I double-checked that it was there, and Friday I finally caved in and "found" the money. It is glorious. It's in incredibly good condition, the case is almost perfect (bar a little damage to the handle), and it's very clean. Just needs a little dusting. Looked up the serial number and seems it was built in May 1941. This is going to become my day-to-day writing machine, as it is just a delight to use! Can't wait for the new ribbon to arrive.

Well, it had to happen sometime I suppose - today, a standard joins the collection:

1977 (I think) Olympia SG3L. Needs a clean & has a dead / disconnected double space key. At least the elusive paper support is present!

Ha! Yes, I do believe I will be - particularly when I assess & (hopefully) fix the double space issue!
