Yes, definitely NOT a cursive typeface fitted to that Olympia. I often come across incorrect statements in eBay auction descriptions and usually send a quick note to the seller. Most will correct the error, some are even appreciative of being informed. I doubt in this case that the mistake is intentional; more likely script is just some meaningless term they pulled from a search on pricing for that model.
The pronoun I has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.

i once inquired about a listing for a Script typewriter. when I asked for a type sample and was given one, it was clearly not script. I asked the seller why she put "Script" in the title and listing and she said "because this typewriter can be used to type out movie or tv show scripts".

As opposed to typewriters that can't be used to type out a "TV show script"? Weird...

Ahhhhh.... I wonder... the standard typeface for scripts on a computer is Courier. It's essentially a typewriter typeface. I wonder if this was what the person had in mind? (Giving them the benefit of the doubt, here! But you never know. They might have even bought the machine for that purpose.)

Update on the non-script machine, the seller had no idea about the difference between regular and script typefaces, and took the listing down. I don't think they even bothered to look at the actual typeface on the machine, (or try it out) and just got the idea that all Splendid 66 typewriters are script typeface, through wonky research. However they thanked me for the info I gave them
