Re: So I am going to start making Typewriter Feet...

Ha yeah I guess that would do it! What colors would you be able to use? That would be a cool way to further customize a machine.

Oh, Bango, didn't see your latest reply. I can do ANY color, but since I really would rather stay with black coloring, I will send you a PM with the secret... formula...

Re: So I am going to start making Typewriter Feet...

Ok, got my 3d printer, and in the process of making molds. I am going to have a set of Blick 7 feet by the end of today, and maybe Corona 4 if I feel like making them.

Re: So I am going to start making Typewriter Feet...

What do the Blick 7 feet look like?  I need some Blick 5 feet.  Do you think they are compatible?  The ones I have are probably too squished to use as a model or mold.

Have you tried Sugru for your modeling compound? It's some good stuff.  I used it for some Underwood feet. I used a combo of some sink washers that were hollow and filled them with sugru to make more sturdy.

Re: So I am going to start making Typewriter Feet...

If you take out one of the feet and measure the diameter of the hole and its 1.3 cm (+/-1 mm), then they will fit.

Re: So I am going to start making Typewriter Feet...

I don't need an original foot anymore, as I can d print molds with my 3d printer now. So now I can make almost anything. Now, they ant as good as those expensive rubber ones, but they look great, fit great, and will be much cheaper than the rubber ones  when Im done. Ill post a picture when Im done, I have one foot drying right now...

I will measure later today.  How much are you charging for them?

Re: So I am going to start making Typewriter Feet...

$20 for 4, but since your a type talk member, Id do $15, but take a look at the one below.
Here is a picture of the one. The originals were different in the back and front (Unless mine were just squashed un believably) but these are universal and fit in both the front and back of the Blick.

Im waiting for the pictures to upload... Wait a few minutes for photos.

Re: So I am going to start making Typewriter Feet...

Considering this (I think) is the first actual Blick 7 foot made with 50 years or more, Id say I did a pretty good job. They fit very snug, they are a nice black color, and work great! (Well, at least much better than the original rocks (Ahem, feet))

This was a quick attempt because I was so excited my Blick was finally going to have feet again! So they might be a little messy...
