I think you mean mesh, not attach.
If so, then I believe it does. I do not have a Classic 12 though.

Thank you guys for your help but I may just need to take it into a shop at this rate. While trying to find the problem I seem to have detach from the carriage the string that acts as a spring.
I'm sorry I couldn't put your guys' contributions to better work. Thank you!

Oh, that string is easy to re attach.
I just thought of this, it could be a missing spring.
