Here's a theory:  I think that most of those typewriters headed West to Texas to my hometown, got fixed up by me, and are now probably in Tom Hanks' collection in Hollywood.  I've seen a many of 'em pass through my little repair table over the years.  I've bought, sold, traded, rented, and had a merry old time with these critters.  Oh well, kept me out of the pool halls and the beer joints when I was a teenager.
