You should talk to Ted at the Typewriter Database. I think he already has numbers for most Royals, but if you can show him your source maybe he can verify the sources he already has. The whole goal of the database is to compile all of the known serial data for typewriters in one place.

If that one is a basket shift, it was possibly made either in 1933 or 1934 (I would have to have the serial number to know for sure).  It looks like one I gave to my brother some years ago.
