Erika 5 Modell M - Removing typewriter from its case bottom (base)

Guess what I found today while doing errands? AND with a QWERTY layout to boot!

I've previously said that I'm downsizing but come on, would you pass this up? I've been searching for this for years!

Anyhoo, I want to clean the underside but I can't figure out how to remove the base. Unless it's hidden, I can find any screws.

Typewriter!

Metal post is holding the typewriter in its place (four of them) No screws but there are open holes next to them with no screws underneath the holes.

Bottom of the case  - four of them in each corner

Manual and  two metal tools. Not certain what tool is used for.

I got the typewriter off the base. Just an FYI for others, a HARD pull up. I had my husband pull up while I held the base down.

Does anyone know what those two metal tools are? Looking at the German manual, it looks like it has something to do with the carriage?

My model 12 had the same four spears tightly fitting into the rubber grommets ob the base.  I finally pried it off, and then lubed the rubber with silicone to make it easier next time.
