Bookbinding aficionados: can you tell me about my copy press?

It's nothing fancy – just something to replace the makeshift book press I use for hobbyist fine bookbinding projects. I believe it's a copy press although the seller referred to it as a book press. Despite the surface rust and cast iron body weighing 33kg, I rather like the industrial look.

I don't know what decade it was made in, let alone its manufacturer. Does anyone know anything about these things?

Note on the bottom, the capital "D" inside a shield under the lion, and the letters "22 C" on either side.



Does anyone own one who can compare designs to try and narrow down its age? Or any knowledge you can share about it would be well appreciated. Now if only it were as easy as identifying typewriters...

I have absolutely no idea, but Im gonna say late 1800s for dates, and was used for smaller applications, because of simplicity.
