DM363.8, in today's money would be something between $692 and $703.68, based on the comparative average prices of goods (and a historical average exchange rate of DM3.99 to the USD. But the more relevant indicator of goods and services (adjusted to inflation) puts it at around $1,450! Brand new, anyway.
I don't know how to calculate for depreciation and whatever premium is used on antiquities.

I recently came upon one of these in great condition, that looks similar to yours. I need a new spacebar for it though. I think the ones in this color scheme, Luxus, with the Groma logo in the front, were Quertz? And the ones for export did not have that?
In my mind, it's a great typer. This one was like new inside, seemingly rarely used. It even seems to have a ribbon auto reverse mechanism. I'd read that it didn't, but it seems to.
