Hello all, my girlfriend was going to surprise me with a typewriter that have been on my radar for years but hasn't had any luck getting any assistance from various typewriter communities so she finally had to disclose the surprise to me. Bless her heart!
The seller contact information has a phone number, no email address so it's difficult to communicate with him/her.
If someone is close enough to inquire regarding working condition AND able to ship it to me, I'll be your servant forever!
We will include paying for any transportation costs and time in addition to of course purchase price and shipping. Send me a message and I can give you the details of the listing.
Thanks!

Is there a language issue? I would think that calling a seller directly has to be the easiest way to communicate with someone, and a fraction of the cost of paying someone to be your proxy.

I try to stay away from shipping even in the States due to sellers lack of efforts. It amazes me the lack of effort/ respect even when I give them step-by-step packing instructions. Since being on the lookout for this model for awhile, I would feel more comfortable having a fellow collector ship it for me. I feel like it's a waste of time in contacting this private seller. He/She may not want to ship it. If it was through ebay, I might be more incline to risk it due to some reassurance if the seller was negligent in their shipping methods. Although, I would not be happy. Personally, depending on the model, cost isn't a priority most of the time. it's more the effort and respect of these machines. I don't mind the extra cost in paying someone for their time or effort. Or I could send them a typewriter (if I have the model) that one can't easily find in the UK. Honestly, I don't know which models are hard to find over there. I assume American typewriters or American rebrands are plentiful? Again, just an assumption.

I don't think there is anyone on this forum from Brighton... where is the typewriter exactly? And what model is it?

the listing states East Sussex/Brighton. Check your inbox for the listing details. I don't want to post the listing due to it having a private phone # for all internet to see.
