    In need of the year of Smith Corona Corsair Deluxe

    I have a smith corona corsair deluxe, and the serial number is 6Y C959408. Can anyone tell me what year it might be from? Thank you.

    My best guess would be early '70s. I haven't seen any serial number information posted for this model, but based on the high number I doubt it was manufactured during the late '60s. 

    The pronoun I has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.
