Got this one recently. It needed several cleanings, oil and brushing of the type slugs. I really like its feel but am disappointed by the quality of the print: it seems blurred and often has shadowed letters. Is this acceptable? Any suggestions?

The Woodstocks, like a lot of Remingtons, were good machines, but the quality of their print was not the greatest. Even the R. C. Allens that followed them, though somewhat better, were not the clearest or the straightest printers either. About the only thing you can do is to align the capitals and lower cases as closely as you can. The print still looks very readable. In fact, print like that now has a certain charm to it. I wouldn't do anymore to it.
