I got this at an auction for 5 bucks. I'd just had a quick look at it and didn't think much of it; it looked pretty hammered at first glance. Once I got it home and wiped it off a bit, I found this very cool black and green keyboard. Unfortunately missing the left shift key. It's always something!

Love that one! Does it type as well as they say?

A very tidy-looking machine. Love the square spool covers.

That's an interesting machine. I love the crocadile paint job. This is the first Hermes I have seen with that. They keys are also pretty unique. Nice score you have there.
Just be mindful that the Hermes 2000 isn't a 3000, and doesn't type quite as softly. They also are well known for having significant skipping problems.

Beautiful! My friend has a Hermes 3000. Been using it every day for the last six years and has yet to have a complaint.

Every day? What's your friend use his Hermes for? I love hearing stories of people who still use typewriters on a consistant basis. I use one daily too, albeit with a large(ish) collection it's usually a different one everyday.

Wow, what a perfectly charming machine! I love the keyboard, those round keys, the colours... well done sir, well done...
