I got one of these myself, also for $35, not too long ago. I love this machine -- looks great, types wonderfully (elite size). Really one of my favorites -- and it seems I simply can't make the typing crowd.

The more I'm typing on it, the more I love it too. I wish the platen wasn't rock hard, but it is what it is.

I picked up an old Woodstock yesterday. I think it's about a 1946-47 with polished trim and a black wrinkle finish. It's pretty clean, but needs some adjustments and the red margin scale. Could someone school me on how to post a picture or two? I could also use a tip or two on tracking down missing parts. As soon as I can learn to post pictures, I put one or two up. Something about pre-50's styling I find engaging; I've really grown fond of it so far with the small amount of typing I've done on it to check it out.

Picked up a nice SC Super Sterling for my classroom. I love SCs of later vintage--when they're nice, they work well. This one is a good one. I think 1969 or 70.
