Fleetwing's right. Is it a nice pub or a sort of hipster one? It's getting to crisis point, this pubs closing thing, isn't it. Accelerated since the crash - because people just drink at home now.

Just noticed this comment -- ouch! I guess "nice" does not include "hipster." Can't say I disagree. If it were a hipster pub, not doubt there'd be people taking up space and typing there, yes?
Anyway, go check out that typewriter!

Hahaa.. I thought they'd infiltrated everywhere.
Fleetwing, they don't do that in London. Hard to say what they DO do... Probably too vague and hipsterish to 'do' anything much. They just ARE.

It would seem hipsters here (and I'm really referring to New York, and I guess that means more specifically Brooklyn) would watch Premier League games. Surely UK hipsters don't watch Major League Baseball.
I confess, I watch EPL games, even Aston Villa is now down in the Championship.

I see them sitting in places with plywood tables, having intense conversations or checking their phones... You know them more by their shops, at least in this neighbourhood. It's basically another form of consumerism.
