Underwood Touchmaster Five platen removal
I recently acquired an Underwood Touchmaster Five and would like to remove the platen. I have found the two flip up bars on either side, but the left side of the platen gets hung up on the line advance lever. I would appreciate any help.

If I remember, you can remove the right-side platen knob, which makes it easier to pivot out.

The top dust masks on either end of the carriage hinge up in addition to the release tabs on the platen. Make sure the line spacer isn't engaged, sometimes it gets a little sticky and doesn't always want to return.
