Hermes 3000 v1 Vertical Adjustment

Hi, I have Hermes 3000, 1st Swiss version (round), which will only type the lower half of letters and numbers.  From reading various online sources I believe this indicates a need to adjust the vertical bar adjustment screws, which on some typewriters are obvious and easily reached, but I can't find a thing that confirms where these adjusters are on the Hermes 3000 and how to adjust them.   After removing the bottom and upper back I see a likely suspect in the lower back corners, with a center screw labeled  in gradations from +/-, and two small end adjusters which I can't access without further dissasembly.  Is this where I should be tinkering,a nd for the upper no-print problen]m, shoudl I concentrate on the upper end adjuster or lower?  Thanks in advance

Re: Hermes 3000 v1 Vertical Adjustment

An old post, but I have the same question regarding on-foot/vertical alignment on the Hermes 3000. Adjusting the screws mentioned above improved top/bottom balance but caused binding of the carriage.
