Hello all, new here to the forums, but not new to the typewriter world. I have been collecting and doing my own repairs for a few years now, and have had some questions here and there that I haven't been able to figure out myself.
I own a Royal Portable from 1930, and I noticed that the carriage is a bit wiggly, so much so that when I type on it, sometimes the letters come out a bit uneven. I was wondering if there was any good way to brace the carriage so it doesn't move as much.
Thanks!

Hi Lucas
As per the top post in this sub-forum, please post the model and serial number of your typewriter (you've already posted the make and year which is a good start). This will give other members a much better idea of the exact machine you're dealing with so your questions can be better answered. All the best,
Sky

Sure thing, it’s a 1930 Royal Portable (the only one being produced at the time) and the serial number is P 193730
