Remington Portable 2

My rescue animal: I bought this not knowing if I would be able to get it working, purely to prevent yet another machine being chopped. (It was listed as material for chopping.) It cost me £7.50 and a lot of elbow grease. And it works now.

Re: Remington Portable 2

Bravo! Can you imagine such a beauty being destroyed for the sake of some junk jewellery?

The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.

Typing on it for the first time was magic. There was a fair bit of jumping up and down!

Re: Remington Portable 2

Congratulations.  I can hardly imagine the level of barbarism that would destroy this for bad-taste baubles.
Have the earlier model without the protecters, and as you say, a pleasure to use; fast snappy action.

Your beautiful machine is now worth 10 to 20 times what you paid.  Well done.

Re: Remington Portable 2

Wow, that turned out nice. I hope mine ends up near that beautiful after cleaning. Thanks for the inspiration.

Gorgeous! Any photos from before the restoration?

The dirty ones are from before I started work on it.
