I just picked up an $11 IBM selectric II without testing it at Goodwill. I brought it home and it seems to work except for two issues. It won't consistently space and when I hit the return button, it goes to the left margin but doesn't advance the platen to the next line. I don't know anything about these machines, it was an impulse buy (I have a problem I know). Any guidance would be appreciated! I'm not sure the procedure for cleaning one of these either.
