Hi guys, I picked up a 1946 Underwood SS for $30 today and am trying to clean it and get it working to it's former glory. However I have run into an issue that I new about going in, thinking I can fix it, probably gunked up.

Anyways the issue is that the escapement doesn't want to function properly and I don't understand why, the parts seem fine, but when I press keys it's not pressing and disengaging the escapement sprocket properly. Here is a picture of the typewriter for reference.
