Olympia Traveller platen screw not gripping

I removed the platen of an Olympia Traveller to clean it, but now that I screwed it back, the knobs are not gripping properly, specially the right one. It turns without turning the platen, while the left knob does rotate the platen, although it turns very slightly freely before actually gripping the platen.

Any tips on how to solve this?

Re: Olympia Traveller platen screw not gripping

Double check that all the screws, including the one that fixes the platen itself to the shaft, are sufficiently tight.  The right hand platen knob is permanently fixed (moulded) onto the shaft that runs right through the platen.  Is there any possibility that it has become loose ?  If so, you might have to glue it back onto the shaft with some epoxy resin.

Yea, I had to glue the right knob on the shaft. Now it's perfect.

Thank your for the tip!
