My wife and I just purchased an underwood touchmaster five that was sold as is. Needs some issues fixed and hoping to get it working soon. Here to learn and gain more knowledge on typewriters

Greetings, Mexicutioner. (What an ominous handle!) I just finished cleaning up a Touchmaster Five and I like the design. If you have any questions I will try to help. OTOH, if this is the one where you twisted off the mainspring nut and other issues prove to be too much and you decide to part it out (one should never junk a typewriter) then I am in need of a Tab brake for it. So, what are the other issues?
