Olivetti Studio 44 Issues
Hi , im new to typewriters - just been given an olivetti studio 44 but i think it has a problem
it types ok and the bell rings when i get to the end of the page
when i push the arm across the carridge moves into the correct position but the paper hasnt moved so i'm typing over what ive already written
ive checked the lever that selects the space between lines and made sure its no on 0
the carriage return leaver seems floppy as if not fully attached to anything
also i can get the carriage to relocate without typing to the end of a page and the bell going off
no other lever seems to make it go back
sorry if this all seems vague but like i say im new to typewriters
any suggestions / advice would be greatly appreciated

If the line space lever is floppy, there is a high chance that the return spring has broken. Unfortunately this is a torsion spring of a very specific size and shape and would be very difficult to replicate.
