FS: Royal 5 - Royal 10 - Remington 5 (standard) - Blickensderfer 8

These are all detailed in the typewriter database in my collection. I’m located in Wisconsin but plan on traveling so finding a meeting place might be possible. I have come into possession of these inadvertently. I’m not really a collector so would like to find homes for these historic typewriters.

link to my collection is here

The 1909 Blickensderfer 8 is not working. I’m not sure how to get the escapement working and hesitate to mess with it. Looks complete, if you want more detailed pictures contact me for that. https://typewriterdatabase.com/1909-blickensderfer-8.16115.typewriter

The 1893 Remington 5 is cleaned up and sort of working. The escapement mechanism is a simple metal wedge that tilts to move the carriage. This is worn and leads to skipping, uneven movement. It seems like a part that could be repaired. https://typewriterdatabase.com/1893-remington-5.16097.typewriter

The 1912 Royal 5 works well. The platen seems original (blue color is interesting ). The hard platen though makes it a noisy typer, but I hate to replace that blue platen. Very nice decals and decoration.  https://typewriterdatabase.com/1912-royal-5.16085.typewriter

The 1926 Royal is more common, but this is a nicely cleaned up unit. It works well and reliably. The hard platen makes the typing a bit noisy. The beveled glass panels are in good shape. https://typewriterdatabase.com/1926-royal-10.16029.typewriter

Tell me if you’re interested in anything and location. I’m not enthusiastic about shipping, so might arrange travel I’m planning around these sales.
Lynn
