Hi all. I just acquired something to tinker with, and am planning to have some real fun. It is a rather complete (appearance wise) but extremely rusted No. 9. (I like taking things apart and fixing them!)
But, in looking on the Typewriter Database website I notice that the gallery pictures show off two different ones. One is called "Print-Type" and the other is simply called "Standard". Can folks tell me the differences? And, how accurate is the database dating of these? Thanks.

Printype were supposed to make the type look like how a books type was printed.
Standard was standard font.
Im not sure what dates the printype range from, but I think they range in most machines. For example, the oliver 9 (I have a oliver 9 printype), can either be standard or printype.
