There's a "Phoenix Typewriter" YouTube video of a drive belt change on the Smith Corona Electra 120.
Does anyone know where I can get new drive belts for this typewriter?
Thanks for the help

Here's a link to the "O" rings that Phoenix Typewriter provides on the YouTube Video.
(There's a bunch of folks on Ebay selling pairs of "O" ring belts for 30-40 dollars and up. Yikes).
Here's the one's from Phoenix Typewriter as suggested. 10 dollars for a bag of 5.

Kalani,
The original small v-belts on the 2 machines that came across my workbench were exactly 4.0" OD in diameter.
I ended up using McMaster-Carr o-rings (their Dash No. 238...part number). Of Durometer 70A hardness rubber. The thickness of the o-ring is 1/8" and the OD for a Dash No. 238 was 3.75" OD diameter.
I ended up with a bag of 50 o-rings. Would be happy to send you a pair or two in the mail for free.
Just drop me your ship-to address via a Message on the forum.

I replaced my drive belts with o-rings. Got the perfect fit with a set from Lowe's - Danco #10714. I think they cost $5 or so.

Jim,
PM sent your way...

Ordered and returned.
These "O" rings from Amazon are too soft and too loose. They "sort of" work. Slightly too loose so the motor drive loop side rubs against the carriage trim tab thing.

Looks like the Dash #239 worked the best. There has to be enough tension on the secondary belt (name) to draw the pulley away from the bottom of the metal carriage body trim flange.
