Does anyone know a source for new drive belts (or substitutes) for the Smith Corona Super 12, motor and ribbon cartridge advance?
These are belts have ribs.
Huge thanks for your help.

Kalani,
Maybe you can find the right size here on McMaster Carr...since you can measure the existing belt.
Plus with these belts, they allow you to purchase a single belt and not a pack of 25 or 50.

The smallest McMaster cogged belt is 1/4 inch wide.
The actual belts on the Smith Corona are 1/8 inch wide, and the "pitch" is very very tiny at .0860 inch or 11/128 inch from center rib to center rib.
So, unsure where to go from here.
Suggestions?
sources?
Huge thanks

1. Sewing machine cogged belts...? Local sewing/vacuum shop.
2. Duane Jensen down at Phoenix Typewriters in AZ... ?
3. Parts houses for VCR/DVR repair/replacement parts...?

Good tips. Thanks.
After fully servicing and all that, I've adjusted the tension on the belts, which still have some life left in them. Typewriter runs great. But, I'll not go down the "rabbit hole" with these "cog belt" models now that I see what's involved.
Good lessons in typewriter innards, though.

Smith Corona Coronet Super 12 after full deep cleaning, lubrication on pivot points, etc, adjusted old drive belts that still have life in them. Return carriage gears in great shape. Machine types and works well. Another life given to an old typewriter.
I'll contact Phoenix Typewriter (2 hours south of me) for new drive belt sources.
Thanks everyone for your kind help.

Biedler’s Electric Motor Repair, Inc.
Prices are low.
Specs on the Smith Corona Coronet Super 12, as measured on the original belts.
