All the documentation had one looking at the interface of rack and pinion while adjusting.  I can't do this with my wide carriage as I can't see it.

I've managed to get it to the point to where it works on the table but when I try to carry it anywhere the carriage slides back and forth.

I'm looking for hints on how to adjust this.
