Wow those sewing machines! Sending the pictures to my wife to admire. Sent her your stapler pictures and she said, "Oh, no! A new obsession!" But I said no, . . . . well maybe one Aceliner.
My adding machine period was short lived.
ok, I bought just one, in tribute to Pete.
In the auction it sure as heck looks green. It came and it is actually gray. sheeze. Seller attributes it to their lighting.

Mike, you will run across that with red versus brown, too...in the mottled colours. Hard to be 100% sure just from eBay photos.

Do you have a source for staples that fit? I have boxes and boxes of swing line "standard staples" but they are too wide.

Hi Mke,
I use Swingline's SF-4 staples.
You can also use Swingline's SF-3 staples, but each strip is a bit shorter that the SF-4's. The SF-4 is 2x as long as the SF-3... (210 staples versus 105 staples per strip).
I use these in the smaller Ace Cadet staplers, as well...but those staplers take less staples for each refill.

Mike...a photo or two for your bride...
Here is my "car park" for both the smaller Ace Cadets and the larger Ace Liners...
Room for 1 more and then I am done...

Love it. I'll be visiting your museum. Tell your wife that the meals don't have to be elaborate and I'll be on my way in 3 to 4 days.
Reorganizing my storage shelves to reduce my machine footprint. I'll post a new Blue Bird when I get the platen back. I don't generally do the platen restore but this one required it.

Just figured out that the the Aceliner loads from the rear instead of the top like a swing line.

The Aceliner does open from the top, but I think that is just to clear jams.
The smaller Cadet does load from the top.
It is easy to see how these staplers are lasting so many years with their robust build quality.

Another Ace Cadet joined my herd...
Looks like it found company with my new-ish Princess-Matic typewriter...
