Found this sole photo on the Web with no further info. about this Olympia electric machine.
It was only noted as being an SGE-10. But I cannot find any photos of a SGE-10 (if one exists).
Does anyone know what it is ?
Looks most like an SGE-40 with some exceptions :
1. Top single-piece cowling of the SGE-40 on this mystery machine is made in 2 pieces.
2. Controls on the left & right side of the key-board on this machine vary to what you see on a typical SGE-40.
3. The SGE-40 has dual power-return key-tops (one on each side) where this mystery machine only has one on the right side.
First photo, below, is of this mystery machine. Second photo is of a SGE-40 (not mine).

The SGE10 is from before my time (I started repairing typewriters in 1975) but must certainly be from the late 1950's or early 1960's. You could say that the SGE50 is an electrified SG3. The SGE10 would be an electrified SG1. Look at the carriage in particular. The carriage ends certainly resemble those on the SG1.

Hi Tom,
I think your are right-on with your inputs.
Belatedly, I noticed in my Opening Post photo that that machine has wire card/paper guides along both sides of the ribbon vibrator and not clear plastic ones.
The machine/photos in the links provided by Laurenz do have plastic ones...so maybe those are a bit later SGE-10 machines.
I am certain chasing down one of these SGE-10 machine in QWERTY would be like an Unicorn hunt.

Pete,
FWIW: the OMEF Typewriter Age Guide from October 1971 mentions the SGE10 on page 52:
S.G.E. 10/40
1,001 ... 1959
1,063 ... 1960
3,440 ... 1961
7,250 to 13,499 ... 1962
The guide can be found on the TWDB (download section, age lists).

Laurenz, thanks for the tip,
Tom, our Yank power-requirements might be a hinderance for me, as well.
