"The Ipcress File" (New TV Series)

Back in 2022, a new version of the 1965 movie (The Ipcress File) was released as a TV series with 1 season consisting of 6 episodes.

We caught it on Acorn-TV.  The spy-story is set in the early 1960's during the Cold War.

It loosely follows the 1965-made movie by the same title which had Michael Caine in the lead role

Lots and lots of typewriters in just about every office-scene throughout the series.  First one I spotted was a 1960's Triumph Perfekt in the opening scene of episode 1.

Many office Imperial 66's and even other portables by Royal, etc. peppered throughout the series.

Re: "The Ipcress File" (New TV Series)

A fountain pen forum I belong to has a "fountain pens in the movies or television" thread that's been getting added to for years. The idea is to take a screen grab from a YouTube video, or even snap your TV screen with your phone, and post a shot from the movie or TV show showing a fountain pen in the thread. If you can identify it, that would g in the post too; otherwise you can take a stab at it, and other people take stabs too, and a good time is had by all. Wheee. Anyway, why not a typewriters in the movies thread? I may start one myself, if I can find a scene.

I always think typescript lends some sort of certainty:
at least if the things are bad then, they appear to be bad with conviction.”
