    What model of typewriter is this?

    What model of typewriter is this? It's not an Olympia SM1, nor an SM2...

    That is an Optima Elite, maybe an Elite 2, with an Olympia decal. I am not sure why it has an Olympia decal. While Optima was the company that was born from the East German part of Olympia, I think this particular model would have come after the fight over branding was settled.
