Have a nice 1949-made S-C Sterling on its way to our home. Should have it in a couple of weeks.
I have had my eye out for this colour combination...especially with the darker "nutmeg" colour of the space bar and the platen knobs.
In 1950 or so, that colour went to more of a "tan" colour...which is not as striking to my eye.
I think THIS colour combination on the part of Smith Corona is one of their best choices.
This will be only the 2nd. time I reach back to the 1940's to add a machine to my collection. Besides my 1947 Royal QDL...my collection is squarely in the 1950's to early 1980's.
I await delivery and another typewriter spa-day in Spring time in my garage & driveway.

Typewriter spa-day completed on my workbench yesterday.
Only waiting for a new B&R ribbon delivery.
Items needed to be adjusted/fixed :
1. Shift-lock was not engaging. A bit of metal forming under the key-top fixed that.
2. Touch-control lever had lost its small spring. Easy to fix from my springs-horde.
3. Left-side platen knob was loose and not engaging the platen free-spin feature. Easy to fix with removing the platen and re-seating the "plunger" assembly of the left platen knob and re-installing the platen.
4. Typewriter case had a cracked corner. Super-glue fixed that. Numerous tears/rips in the case covering glued and/or patch and touch-up satin-paint applied where needed. Inside of the case just needed a cleaning.
5. New metal ribbon spools added from my spools-horde.
