SCM Ghia keys wobble?

Yes, honestly. When I type a character on the middle row of my just-received Ghia (blue, very retro) a few of the keys on the bottom row vibrate from side to side.

Is this normal, or is my new machine in need of help?

Re: SCM Ghia keys wobble?

Welcome. Paul. No, wobbling keys when other keys are hit is not normal in the sense that's there is no good reason for it. But it is not unusual in the Smith-Corona Corsair line, which is what a Ghia is. It is a result of the lightweight construction and latter-day design goals of these ultra-portable typewriters. There is no particular problem with it, aside from possibly aesthetic concerns. Enjoy.
