Not finding any response to my Adler Gabriele 25 part for the folding type return lever, I have looked at an Adler Tippa from 1972 but this has a carriage return spring problem.

The spring inside the cassette is detached from the center spindle, and will not engage, so the cassette just spins and does not tighten the spring.

Has anyone a working spare spring cassette from a spares machine please?

Or what is the trick to getting the spring to re-engage with the center spindle?

(I have mounted the cassette onto a bit of scrap metal to rewind, so the picture shows this.)
