Sad news of the passing of typewriter repairman, Duane Jensen, here in the USA.
Over the past 10-12 years or so, Duane has posted up hundreds of videos on YouTube of his repairs of the machines we all love so much.
RIP, Duane.
Here is an on-line article about Duane and his efforts with typewriters :

Sad news indeed. Apart from being interesting, I found watching Duane's videos relaxing. They had a certain rhythm, a flow—the sequence of his actions, accompanied by his pleasant voice became more than a source of information to me. I will certainly miss him.

Sad news. His videos helped me on several occasions. He also ripped the escapement out of a Futura for transplanting into one of my Futuras.

RIP Mr.Duane Jensen.
Halfway across the world, I have learned so much about repairing typewriters through his videos. Many of those helped me saved so many typewriters.

For those so inclined to want to stuff the "tip jar" in memory for Duane Jensen's family one more time, a GoFundMe page has been set up by a fellow typewriter collector and friend.

On YouTube, a note appears that all of Duane's videos will be "archived".
Not sure what that means and/or if the videos will still be available for viewing and saving in the future.
I went to his YouTube feed and saved many of his clips to my hard-drive. Especially for machines in my collection.
