    Typewriter Lamp In Case...

    This Underwood Jewel is running on eBay-USA this week.

    I was curious to see if it attached to the typewriter and whether the case lid would close with the lamp in place.

    Photos from eBay provide more details.

    There is another Underwood Jewell in the Typewriter Database with the same lamp here. They remark that the lamp "folds and stores, on the machine, inside the factory Underwood case."

    Thanks for the follow-up posting.

    Those photos show the lamp mount as being a clamp-on device. 

    Better that drilling into the metal case...which I thought was the case with the machine on eBay.
