At the moment I'm waiting for PayPal to complete the setting up of a Fundraiser account that will allow everyone to make a direct contribution. The process is supposed to take "2-3 business days", but it has now been over two weeks. I contacted PayPal, and was told the delay is a known issue and couldn't tell me how much longer the wait would be. In the interim our time ran out and I purchased a month's subscription to keep this going.
If I don't hear anything from PayPal by the end of this week I'll be forced to go to plan B, which is just to ask everyone to send me their donation via PayPal, and I'll pay the forum from what I've collected. I will of course maintain full transparency throughout this in a dedicated/pinned thread.
I cannot find these 'End of Typewriter Talk' and 'Typewriter Talk Fundraiser' threads.
This thread is the "Typewriter Talk Fundraiser" thread: The "End of Typewriter Talk" is also currently pinned at the top of the Type Talk section:

By this point I've given up completely on the PayPal Fundraiser account, and since the extra time I already bought for hosting the forum is about to expire, I'm just going to send everyone who offered to donate a direct message with my PayPal account. Make sure you use the Friends and Family option when sending the money to avoid fees reserved for those who are selling things.
I will start a spreadsheet (likely in a new, pinned thread) with all the payments, both to me and those I make to Boardhost, so that everything remains fully transparent.
If everyone follows through with their pledges this will get us another year of hosting. In the interim it would be nice to figure out a way that makes all of this easier in the future.

These are the members who have stated they would be willing to donate a specific amount of money to help the forum. A number of others also offered to help, but didn't follow that with the poll, so if your name isn't on the list and you'd like to contribute, please send me a private message. Thanks!
Over the next while I am going to create a new section dedicated for future fundraising, for listing Patrons, and to post payments so that everyone knows their donations went to paying for the forum's hosting.

Just a quick update: Donations have already been coming in and we're on our way to being able to pay for a full year of hosting.
This might sound cheesy, but in the midst of a world that feels so ****** up, it's uplifting to be a part of a small community of generous people who share an arguably bizarre hobby.
