How bizarre! A battery-operated typewriter? I'm having a hard time figuring out the scale of this machine; does it take a letter-size sheet of paper? Could you post its dimensions - and a type sample would be super cool!
The pronoun I has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.

Silver-Reed marketed something very similar in England around 1983-'84. I seem to remember that the Silver-Reed version was called a pengraph. It actually drew the characters on the paper using tiny replaceable ball-point pen tips. It didn't sell well and was soon withdrawn.

Yep. 
It takes 6 D size batteries.
And yes, it can take letter size paper.
It is 12.2" x 11.2" x 3.7" (dimensions in inches)
or 310mm x 285mm x 93mm
It weighs less than 5 pounds (4.85lb to be exact).
It is quite small considering it is a more modern typewriter (manufactured in 1995).

I looked up the pengraph. It reminds me of the Brother EP series from the 80s, in appearance at least.

Wow! This is pretty neat! It would be cool to drag this around places and see what kind of looks people give! I suppose that any typewriter would do really, but this one seems to re-define ultra portable ;)
