    The American Gallery

    It might have actually been made in Canada, or England, or even Holland, but the American Gallery is the home of the big American typewriter manufacturers such as Royal, Remington, Smith-Corona, and Underwood. Got one you really like? Post your pics here.

    1940s Royal Quiet De Luxe - Hemingway's portable on display in the Key West house he lived in from 1931 to 1939. I know this Gallery is meant for showing your own machines, but I just had to add this photo from my recent visit to his writing studio.

    Made in Canada, but it's a Smith-Corona, and therefore I put it in the American gallery.
