Re: Typewriter Day

I would also expect that somehow you rigged up a typewriter to cook food to bake those muffins?

The new Typewriter Oven - it cooks, and types, at the same time! :D

Re: Typewriter Day

Too bad I spent all my money on just plain old typewriters

A high schooler with a lot of typewriters. That's pretty much about it.

Re: Typewriter Day

Oh wow Malole that is so cute.

I thought you might have seen that Silent-Super - it had 17 people watching it. I can't even begin to justify it, but I am rather excitedly looking forward to its arrival tomorrow! See, every day is Typewriter Day in this house!

I also celebrated the occasion yesterday by going back on Twitter for the first time in months (resolution) and following a load of typewriter people.

Re: Typewriter Day

I was just wondering if Typewriter Day should be the 23rd June. I appreciate that it is about the American Patent for a typewriter but surely he was a bit late off the starting grid for the first working typewriter, about sixty years late as it happens. I could well be wrong but I think the Italians may have got there first.

Re: Typewriter Day

Ha ha! glad you all enjoyed my muffin-cookin-typer. The blobs of dark were of course blue berries
When do you ever have to justify a bargain like that, Kat?! These days, my family have even stopped saying "What, ANOTHER one?!"
Mind you, I have to choose another to offload... :O

Fully agree. You could even argue it was 300 years late when you consider the first machine, also invented by an Italian, which could imprint selected type on a page. I'm sure that if we were to identify the creator of Typewriter Day that the question of why June 23rd would answer itself. It's not so much a concern for me, because in my world every day is typewriter day...

The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.

Re: Typewriter Day

Decisions, decisions, decisions!!  Now, which if my portables can I take with me?  I'm not really a Starbucks fan (too rich for my blood, and the Yuppies that go there just wouldn't understand why such a pleb like myself would have the unmitigated temerity to interlope into one of their escapes from my kind), so would a Waffle House or another truck stop do?  I would imagine a few CBers would wonder at me pokin' at one of my little critters while gnawin' on pancakes and coffee.
