Of course, but I actually look for that. It (sometimes) means that the price is lower, so I can get it for cheap and easily fix it up. Then there are those with virtually no description besides "could use a new ribbon" or "needs oil" or "needs TLC" and they charge $200 for a piece of junk! I'm of course talking about ebay which is almost like a circus sometimes with all of the clown acts going on in there...
A high schooler with a lot of typewriters. That's pretty much about it.

*in 1933, has been sitting inside of a flooded basment ever since. The ribbon spools are missing because my cat ate them. Oh yeah, and theres a mouse nest under the typebasket*.

I saw one of those at the typewriter repair shop. the guy showed it to me and indicated that it came out of one of the typewriters, I'm not sure which.

Hey, you can find all kinds of great stuff in antiques. I had an old Edison cylinder phonograph I purchased at a thrift store a while back that had an old and rather large mouse nest inside of it. It was fun cleaning it out...
I do see a lot of "Excellent Condition" descriptions on Ebay, along with pictures showing the typewriter is covered in dirt/grime and with a good portion of the original paint worn off. Everyone has a different idea of what "excellent" really means I guess.
When you aren't looking for it... you ALWAYS find it!!!

Technically, something 25 years and older is considered to be an antique. 
The pronoun I has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.
