FS: Oliver No. 9 Print Type, in working shape with new ribbon

Here's the eBay ad: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281470084053?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
I would expect that is goes for over $100, but even then it is hard to find a working Oliver at that price.

I also have my Royal 990 for sale, but it is at a price most collectors wouldn't pay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281470810363?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Is that your Oliver? I've always wanted one, but it's also a machine that I've put in the same category as the Valentine, one that is nicer to look at than to type with.

That Royal is quite nice, but you're right about the price. I'd probably pay someone up to $50 for it in person, but $70 plus shipping is too steep for me as a collector. Still, it's a reasonable price I wouldn't be surprised if you sell it for that amount. Good luck!

Yeah, I really have no love for that Oliver. They go for good prices online, so I thought I may as well make a quick buck.

The Royal is $70 with free shipping, but I was mainly trying to attract one-timers or beginners because they just go insane for typers with new ribbons and such. I wouldn't have paid $70 for it either

Free shipping? Wow, it must be great to buy from other eBay sellers in the U.S.  Shipping is fairly inexpensive in Canada, but there is relatively fewer machines offered for sale here. An Oliver - of that kind - is still on my to buy list, but I think I'll need to sell a few machines first.

EDIT: Would you ship to Canada? If so, could you give me a shipping price in a PM?

I'm assuming this is the Oliver you are talking about? And shipping isn't really free, I just pay the shipping so the buyers don't have to. So, unless shipping is over $40 to get to Toronto, I will still pay it
