Here's requested photo.

That's a lovely example; was it professionally restored? And what's the power reserve on it, 8 days?

The pronoun has always been capitalized in the English language for more than 700 years.

Re: Typosphere

Thanks.  Was slow when got it & won't mess around with clocks.  Restored by retired clock-master in his 90's who did it as a favor and something to do I suppose.

Accurate to the *second* when I rewind & set it.  Then it will lose time of course.

You seem to know your clocks.  Supposed to wind once a week, but it will go 8 days.

Meanwhile, long as I have you... Uwe, think anyone would be interested in a Typewriter History & Ads Topic?

When nothing on TV, enjoy researching old things.

For example, now that I'm the proud owner of a Royal 10-- I've learned I need to hire a Stenographer.

Don't think they could get away with an ad like this nowdays.  He's the boss.  He makes the business decisions...She takes dictation... Her best asset is..."  (Of course in May 1920 I don't think women could even vote yet.)  : 0 !

I've often used ads as a resource to help build information on specific models, and there are literally thousands upon thousands of them out there. I'm sure that most here would be interested in such a topic, feel free to start one if you like.

Yes, thousands might be understatement now that I'm noticing them!

Hadn't thought about it that way.  People interested in history probably already done the research; people who aren't well...

Anyway, it was thought.  : )

Re: Typosphere

Again, while looking for a typewriter part I got sidetracked on etsy.

Thought this was kind of cute.

If I'm going to be part of the 'type-o-sphere' I need a teapot!

Conversation starter.  : )

I drink loose tea though.  Don't know if she thought small holes before the spount, or meant for tea-bags & would have to use a strainer.  Yet another idea for a Typo-Sphere item!
