     I'm hoping someone here has some insight into the issue I'm having with this Remington Travel-Riter. The feed rollers were flattened, so I carefully removed the platen to get to them. When the platen was out, laying on the paper support were two washers (one black, one silver) and a larger, thicker spacer. These presumably fit between the line space gear mechanism and the geared side of the platen itself.
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get these parts arranged so the platen will slide back into place. Does anyone have a drawing or a schematic I can have a look at?
