How do you guys determine when to dunk clean a machine?
What do you typically use when removing rust? Does this change depending where on the machine the rust is located?

Luckily, I've never had a machine so internally filthy that it required 'dunk' cleaning, and I would ensure that you know how to dry and relubricate all of the required internal components before doing it. For surface rust on steel and chromium, try this:

Dunk cleaning is a dirt removal and degreasing solution, but will do very little to help a machine that is rusting. Rust solutions depend on the item; for example, if there is significant rust on a plated surface, the best solution is to have it professionally replated. Non-plated surfaces such a bare metal will require mechanical removal, and if possible, the surface sealed to prevent rust from starting again.
