If I had a Hammer...
Today is my birthday! I bought myself three new hammners; absolutely fed up with struggling with cheap tools. Just a celebration of that feeling of relief when you finally throw away (or give away) that nasty, frustrating third-rate tool and get something decent. Lesson for me (which I seem to have to learn over again every five years) is; 'Don't buy rubbish: wait until you can afford something decent.'
Now let me think where else this may apply in my life.

Where else does this apply in your life? Well, typewriters and fountain pens is what comes to my mind.

Golly. I think you should invest in a nice rack where you can hang all those rather lovely hammers, so you can look at them.
And happy birthday! For yesterday, by now, for you. Here, it's still your birthday. The fun carries on. I hope you had a spiffing day all round.
