Flaking Ruler Scale
My Underwood standard has a flaking ruler scale in the front. It is forthe extra long carriage. There are no replacments on ebay. How could I fix it? Repaint it? Send it to someone proffesional? Who?
Back from a long break.

I have a similar problem with my scale, and as far as I know, you're out of luck. Underwood painted the margin scales directly ontop of the metal, so there's no engraving underneath. Once this comes off, you won't have anything margin scale to tell where the margins go... It's why I don't touch the margin scale because I've already chipped parts of it.
A high schooler with a lot of typewriters. That's pretty much about it.
